Land Acknowledgement

Ponderosa Preschool sits on the traditional homelands of the Pueblo of Sandia. Since time immemorial, the original peoples of New Mexico – Pueblo, Navajo and Apache—held, and continue to hold, deep connections to the land and have made significant contributions to the broader community statewide.

 

At Ponderosa, we honor the land itself and those who remain stewards of the land throughout the generations. We are grateful for their leadership and legacy and acknowledge that there is much work left to be done. As changemakers in the making, we gratefully recognize our history.
